2026 Summer Intensive
A summer dance intensive is an excellent opportunity to not only keep active during the summer but to learn new skills and grow both technically and artistically as dancers. Led by Artistic Director Nicole Kelsch, Conservatory Principal Emily Carey, and the BTM Conservatory faculty, students will be taught, rehearsed, and mentored by current or previous professional dancers.
During both the 2-week and the 3/5-week intensives, students will take dance classes in ballet technique, pointe or pre/demi-pointe (as applicable), variations, partnering (as applicable), jazz, contemporary/modern, conditioning, and acting or musical theatre, as well as rehearsals for the Summer Showcase Performance.
5 Week Session
Advanced Level: By placement
June 22 - July 24, 2026
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday
5-week session pricing - $2,500
If not attending all 5-weeks, cost per week - $520
*Dancers unable to attend the full session may opt for enrollment per week. However, to participate in the Showcase, dancers must attend the last 3 weeks.
*Enroll by April 30 to receive $25 off each week!
3 Week Session
Intermediate Level: By placement
July 6 - July 24, 2026
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday
3 week session pricing - $1,350
If not attending all 3 weeks, cost per week - $450
*Dancers unable to attend the full session may opt for enrollment per week. However, to participate in the Showcase, dancers must attend the last 2 weeks.
*Enroll by April 30 to receive $25 off each week!

The Ballet Theatre of Maryland does not provide housing or transportation for the 2026 Summer Intensive.
