Madelyn Thomas is originally from Lexington, Kentucky, where she began her classical training at the age of nine. Madelyn trained with Lexington Ballet School under the direction of Luis and Nancy Dominguez. She then went on to join the company in 2012. Madelyn furthered her training at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music, where she received her bachelor of fine arts. Studying under Qi Jiang and Deirdre Carberry, Madelyn performed in ballets such as Serenade and La Bayadere, and as a principal in Raymonda, Le Corsaire, Swan Lake, and many contemporary works including Icono Glass by David Hochoy. Upon graduating from CCM, Madelyn joined Louisville Ballet as a trainee in 2016. With Louisville Ballet, she performed in Balanchine’s Theme and Variation, Robert Curran’s Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty. Madelyn joined Ballet Theatre of Maryland in 2017 and is looking forward to her second season!
