Alyssa Hyman
Corps de Ballet
Alyssa Hyman is from Severna Park, Maryland. She began her dance training at the age of eight at Expressions Dance studio before focusing formally on classical ballet under the direction of Margaret Russell. Alyssa has traveled the country as she’s pursued a ballet career. She has been a student at Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory and a member of Colorado Ballet Academy’s pre-professional program. Her training has included intensives at Joffrey Chicago, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Louisville Ballet. Along with a variety of demi-soloist roles she’s had the honor of dancing the lead roles of Dew Drop, Snow Queen, Arabian and Spanish with Nutmeg and Chesapeake Ballet Company.
In 2023, after serving one year as a trainee at Ballet Met, Alyssa returned to her hometown to join Ballet Theatre of Maryland’s trainee program. She was promoted to Apprentice mid-season. This is her second season with BTM and her first as a Corps de Ballet member.
