Jenna Fritts
Demi-Soloist
Jenna Fritts was honored to join Ballet Theatre of Maryland after graduating with her B.F.A. in Dance and summa cum laude from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. At Mercyhurst, Jenna performed roles such as Odile in Swan Lake and Myrtha in Giselle under the direction of Jennifer McNamara and Tauna Hunter, respectively. Jenna also appeared with SoMar Dance Works. Each of Jenna’s dance teachers contributed to her growth as an artist and as a person but she especially thanks Kwang Suk-Choi and Sae-Young Kang, at Pittsburgh Ballet House, and Sarah Parshall at The Dance Center in Traverse City, MI, for her education. Miss Fritts participated in summer programs including Ballet West, Philadelphia Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Ballet Met, where she worked with notable persons such as Ángel Corella, Wendy Whelan, Devon Carney, Adam Sklute, Christopher Ruud, Jim Payne, and Michael Vernon. Jenna is a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor by the International Sports Sciences Association and looks forward to teaching the next generation of dancers.
